The association also seeks, through the dissemination of its early detection guidelines and its detection education and advocacy programs, to ensure that cancer is diagnosed at the earliest possible stage, when there is the greatest chance for successful treatment. The association works in partnership with many public and private sector organizations in diverse setting to increase awareness about cancer and the importance of early detection.
